How to RSVP to an online invite (a guide for guests)

You got a link, you weren't sure what to do. Here's the 60-second walkthrough.

If someone sent you a link that ends in /invite/ or /wedding/, you're looking at an online invite. Good news: you don't need to download an app, create an account, or give out your phone number. Replying takes about 30 seconds.

The basic flow

1. Tap or click the link

The link will open in your browser. You'll see the event title, date, time, and location, plus a form below. If the host added a custom message, it'll be at the top.

2. Type your name and email

Your name shows up on the host's guest list. Your email is used only to send you a confirmation and any reminder emails the host scheduled. It's not shared with anyone else, and it isn't added to a marketing list.

3. Tap Yes, No, or Maybe

Pick whichever is honest. “Maybe” is treated as a real response and the host can see it.

4. If you're bringing someone, set the plus-one count

Most invites let you bring at least one plus-one. Some hosts have set a per-guest limit; if so, the form will show what your max is.

5. Hit submit

That's it. You'll see a confirmation on screen and get an email with the event details.

Common questions

Can I change my response later?

Yes. Most hosts leave RSVPs open until the event date. Tap the original link again, scroll to the form, and submit a new response. You'll see an “Update your response” link as well.

I lost the link. What now?

Search your texts and email for the host's name or “lets-rsvp”. The original message is your best bet. If you can't find it, ask the host to resend.

Will I be added to a mailing list?

No. We send you exactly the emails the host scheduled (a confirmation and any reminders), and that's it. There's no marketing list.

What if the event is a multi-day wedding?

For wedding weekends, you'll see each event separately — rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, brunch — and you can RSVP yes or no to each one independently. Skip the rehearsal but stay for brunch? That's how it's designed to work.

I don't see a form, just a “save the date”

Some invites are sent ahead of time as save-the-dates without an RSVP form yet. The host will send you a follow-up when they're ready to collect responses. Add it to your calendar in the meantime — there's usually a calendar button on the page.

Are there ads on the page?

No. Let's RSVP doesn't show ads to your or to the host.

Hosting your own thing soon?

If you're reading this because you got an invite and now you're curious — yes, anyone can create an invite like this for free. It takes about ten minutes.
